Homemade Marinara Sauce with Roasted Tomatoes
Ingredients
- Tomatoes
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Basil leaves
- Garlic
- Salt & Pepper
- Red Chilli flakes
- Preheat oven to 400F and brush the tray with olive oil
- Prep tomatoes by cutting them in half and placing them in backing sheet facing up. Drizzle with EVOO and season with salt,pepper & red chilli flakes.
- Place fresh basil leaves and garlic in same pan.
- Roast at 400F for about an hour or until the tomatoes begin to brown.
- Once cooled a bit, place everything into a food processor and process until smooth.
