Puffed Rice (Pori) Uppuma


Ingredients:
  1. Puffed Rice (Pori)
  2. Green chillies
  3. Onion
  4. Curry leaves
  5. Coriander leaves
  6. Powdered roasted chana dhal (Pottu kadalai)
  7. Tomatoes - little bit
  8. Mustard and urad dhal - for seasoning
Method:
  1. Soak puffed rice in water and remove immediately. Squeeze water out of it when you remove with your hand. Make sure the puffed rice is soft.
  2. In a vessel (Vaanali), add oil, splutter the mustard and add urad dhal
  3. Add green chillies, curry leaves and onion. Saute until the onion is translucent
  4. Add tomatoes and saute until they are soft
  5. Add the softened puffed rice, roasted chana dhal powder and salt to taste. Mix it well (don't saute too much)
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves
